Director of Sales Operations

Short Summary Statement
The Sales Operations Director will work alongside sales and marketing leaders to collaborate on growing and streamlining commercial operations. We are looking for a strong analytical and strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit to help our client achieve ambitious growth objectives. In this role you will focus on sales processes, sales reporting, recognizing trends in data, and systematizing best practices.

Tasks and Responsibilities
Systems: System ownership of the sales CRM.
Reporting: Guide team in proactively developing reporting and analytics to track the sales process and key metrics throughout the sales funnel in order to support other functional teams and uncover areas of improvement in sales performance. Develop key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance drivers.
Analysis: Manage the evaluation and interpretation of data; identify trends that signal new opportunities or challenges and dangers; and turn data trends into actionable sales processes and tactics.
Partnering: Develop and maintain active relationships within the organization, becoming a valued, strategic business partner to Sales. Also, as the needs of the organization expand and evolve, work closely with the management teams to find solutions to business requirements and requests, and coordinate with adjacent functional areas to ensure consistency (Marketing).
Process: Partner with sales and marketing leadership to evaluate sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
Data Integrity/Consistency: Ensure data in the CRM is complete and accurate. Develop audit reports and processes to ensure compliance and maintain and continually update/expand on the Sales CRM tool and process documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Support increasing sales productivity by identifying bottlenecks, simplifying and rolling out streamlined processes.

Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
5+ years in sales operations and experience developing, implementing and managing sales process (pipeline tracking, KPIs, performance tracking).
Experience leading a Sales Operations function, including business process ownership, reporting, and management of CRM system.
Experience in large project implementations within CRM tools (either on business or technical team). Knowledge of software development lifecycle approach and requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Strong planning and prioritization skills – Ability to manage team to deliver on complex tasks and projects, which sometimes have conflicting/overlapping timelines. Ensure the team sets expectations appropriately and meet deadlines consistently.
Position is remote and may be performed from anywhere in the United States.

Job Description
An insurance Underwriter is an individual who assesses risks and determines whether to offer coverage and, if so, at what terms. In a Program Manager’s capacity, they serve as the link between production (retail agent) and coverage (insurance carrier). These individuals must possess an analytical skillset with the ability to dig through information in order to reach an appropriate conclusion regarding an account, and they must be able to effectively communicate their conclusion to both parties.

Responsibilities
Analyze accounts and, based on risk profile including both quantitative and qualitative factors to determine which insurance companies to place the business with
Communicate with retail agents regarding general underwriting conclusions (pricing) and, after consensus is reached, negotiate proposal terms with carrier(s) approached if required

Plan and organize the daily functions of the facility.
